    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ordering

    • Inventory management and maintenance

    • Scheduling

    • Other Administrative duties as required

    • A love of food and strong desire to learn

    • Attention to detail and consistency in cuts, plating, seasoning, etc.

    • Precise Knife Work

    • Knowledge of ingredients being served with support from Chef Rachel

    • Maintaining a spotless workspace

    • Maintaining a professional appearance/ positive disposition

    • Quality Control

    Qualifications:

    Ideal candidates have at least 3 years cooking experience in an upscale environment and love to learn and produce an evolving menu with the chef/owner each day. Strong work ethic, positive attitude and passion for hospitality is required. Some management experience is preferred. Professionalism, desire to learn and self-awareness are a must as well.     The Floor Manager will handle all positions in the front of the house, acting as host, sommelier, back server and general support person. This position acts as the face and the voice of the restaurant by coordinating reservations and ensuring excellent guest experiences while managing the dining room during service. This position will work in tandem with the General Manager, Chef, front of house (FOH) team and reservationist to ensure intimate, tailored experiences for each of our wonderful guests.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the FOH team in opening and closing the restaurant.

    • Assist the General Manager with the operation of the restaurant, maintenance of the facility, oversight of existing systems, and general restaurant development.

    • Be a liaison between the guests and the Chef by ensuring that dietary restrictions, occasion requests and all other relevant information are communicated and addressed.

    • Take the lead on FOH training- using existing systems and developing ongoing education along with the General Manager.

    • Maintain thorough knowledge of the beverage program and an ability to offer beverage pairings and describe beverage offerings.

    • Maintain ambiance by controlling lights, volume, glassware, linens, table settings and menu cleanliness/condition.

    • Attend all food and beverage training classes.

    Sin City Superette, a Southern-style convenience store and lunch counter in Downtown Lynn is seeking a manager with a solid customer service and leadership background, strong time management skills and passion for service.

    Sin City Superette is the little sister to Nightshade Noodle Bar, From the culinary artistry and vision of Chef Rachel Miller, finalist for the 2023 Outstanding Chef award by the James Beard Foundation, is inspired by the incredible gas station and convenience stores of the south, where you can get a delicious and inexpensive hot meal with your tank of gas.The Superette, reopening in June, will offer made-to-order banh mi and po boy sandwiches, cajun seafood boils and hot comfort found inspired by New Orleans, with a curated grocery and prepared foods section and a small cocktail, beer and wine list. After lunch hours the store will stay open for snacks, provisions and drinks, and offer an option for guests waiting for their tables at Nightshade Noodle Bar next door. This will be a casual, fun, friendly, neighborhood driven environment.

    Sin City Managers and team members are expected to bring a sense of ownership to their position here.

    Some of the desired qualities we are looking for in a Manager:

    • Cleanliness and attention to detail in all areas

    • Ability to lead, motivate, guide and empower team members to be their best

    • Takes initiative, with the ability to recognize problems and problem solve according to established protocols

    • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with team members in a direct and positive manner

    • Ability to lift 50lbs of goods, products and/or equipment

    • Flexibility- this is a new stage of this business that will have shifting needs on a day to day basis

    • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management

    • 1-3 years experience providing leadership in a customer centric environment

    • Lynn residents or those familiar with the Lynn community would be ideal candidates, however newbies with a desire to get to know the community and regulars are great too!

    This position will be supported by the owner, director of operations and the store Chef. The store is open Thursday to Monday from 12-9, with a short day on Monday focused on restaurant industry lunch. Hours for this position will include some closes and some opens.
